Bath, Book, Bed - Pyjama Party
To coincide with the 2017 Campaign from Booktrust; Bath Book, Bed, Darlington Libraries are holding a Pyjama Party for pre-schoolers to help illustrate how a good night-time routine can help children get to sleep.
We know that lack of sleep is one of the hardest parts of being a parent with young children, and getting them to sleep is one of the biggest challenges. By focussing on helping with an immediate problem that parents face - getting babies and toddlers to sleep - Bath, Book, Bed helps us further our vision of every child reading for pleasure, by encouraging parents to make stories part of every child’s book-centred bedtime routine.
This event will offer a short craft activity, stories and rhymes and everyone will leave with a free booklet provided by Booktrust with hints and tips from parenting expert and Super Nanny, Jo Frost. Children can come in their Pyjamas and are encouraged to bring a teddy or favourite toy along with them.
