Building Renovations and Access:

To allow for work to progress on Darlington Library;

From Thursday 24th March - we ask that all customers use the East Street entrance of the building (nearest to Wilkinson's). If you require assistance to access the library please the use the new accessible lift at this end of the building. We continue to offer a reduced service at this time which includes: limited browsing, Select and Collect, book returns and limited computer use. The Centre for Local Studies will remain open and children’s activities including the Bookstart Rhymetime sessions will take place in our Art Gallery. Please be aware there will be no accessible toilet facilities at this time.

We would encourage customers to utilise our free select and collect service using the Library App, or by requesting books online or over the telephone. Our online library is always open. eAudio and eBooks as well as newspapers and magazines are free to read from the comfort of your own home.
