Crown Street Library meeting – to mark the anniversary of Crown Street Library

On Friday, the 23rd October 2020, it is the 135th anniversary of the opening of Crown Street Library.

The library was a great philanthropic gift to the Town by the Pease Family and it has contributed very significantly to the education, advancement and well-being of the people of Darlington.

As part of marking the anniversary – a meeting of the Trustees of the Crown Street Library is taking place at 11am on 23rd October. It will be a virtual meeting using Teams and it will be live streamed and recorded. There are plans to move a vote of thanks to Edward Pease. There will also be updates about the building renovation and information about how the Library Service has been coping during lockdown and its future plans.
