IMPORTANT LIBRARY SERVICE INFORMATION - UPDATED 20/03/2020 3.00pm
Following the announcement of our Library closures from Tuesday 17th March 2020 until further notice please note the following guidance:
?? Please do not try to return your library books/resources; keep them safe at home until we reopen.
?? Library books/resources do not need to be renewed whilst we are closed; no fines will be applied. Phone lines will be closed until further notice.
?? Our existing home library delivery service will continue as usual. We are also offering an interim home delivery service to existing library members aged 60 or over, delivery slots are limited and given on a first come, first served basis. More information about this service can be found here:
?? All events and activities are cancelled until further notice.
???? Please remember that we have books, magazines, national newspapers and audio books available online for FREE on RB Digital and Borrowbox. If you are not a member and would like to apply for this service please use the 'Join the library here' link on this page.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COUNCIL SERVICES -UPDATED 16/03/2020 7.15pm
Following the Government announcement Monday 16 March 2020 about the new measures being put in place to manage the Coronavirus outbreak, the council has taken the difficult decision not to open a number of its venues from Tuesday 17 March 2020 until further notice. We will continue to closely monitor and act on the latest Government advice and will re-open the venues as soon as it is safe to do so. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
The following venues will not open from Tuesday 17 March 2020 until further notice:
- Darlington library and Cockerton library
- The Dolphin Centre
- Eastbourne Sports Complex
- Head of Steam - Darlington Railway Museum
- Darlington Hippodrome
For customers who have paid in advance, arrangements will be made to provide refunds or credit notes - more details on how this will be done will follow.
